Trent Cole, O.D.

Trent Cole, O.D.

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Cole is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Practice Management, Inc. Dr. Cole has been practicing comprehensive eye care in Minnesota for 15 years. He provides comprehensive eye care at all three locations in Oakdale, Cottage Grove and Woodbury. Dr. Cole is passionate about providing neuro-optometric rehabilitative vision therapy to adult and pediatric populations with binocular vision dysfunction.

Dr. Cole serves as a vision consultant resource for numerous local school districts and is a resource for Children's Hospital Occupational Therapy services. He is co-founder of the Minnesota Vision Coalition, which works to improve children's vision through legislation in Minnesota. Locally, Dr. Cole serves on the Executive and Education board of the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Cole is a member of the American Optometric Association, Minnesota Optometric Association, College of Optometrists in Vision and Development and Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association.

Dr. Cole loves to spend time with his children, being outdoors and traveling.

Michael Herde, O.D.

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Herde joined our practice in 2012. He grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin and completed his undergraduate degree at Viterbo University. Dr. Herde received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University Of Indiana School Of Optometry.

While attending IU, he was fortunate to gain extensive experience in primary care, pediatrics and vision therapy, fitting contact lenses and specialty contact lenses, geriatric care, and treatment and management of ocular disease. During his fourth year clinical rotations, Dr. Herde spent six months at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, the top rated eye hospital in the country, where he gained extensive training in ocular disease.

Dr. Herde is a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association, Wisconsin Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. He is currently active in the local community by participating as a member of the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce. He also helps out other local groups such as the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Herde is an avid golfer and loves to cheer on his two favorite teams: the Vikings and the Penguins. While not golfing, he loves to spend time with his wife Ashley and his dog Sophie.

Meghan Earley

Meghan Earley, O.D.

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Earley has joined the clinic with a passion for providing outstanding eye care to patients. Having grown up in Woodbury, she is happy to be providing health care in Minnesota. After earning her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, Dr. Earley completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Through rotations and other clinic involvement, Dr. Earley has experience in vision therapy, pediatrics, contact lens fittings, ocular disease, and surgical co-management.

Dr. Earley is a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association Political Action Committee. She is also involved in the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce and the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce.

In her spare time, she likes to try new restaurants, bike during the summer, and ice skate during the winter. Although she grew up in Minnesota, she roots for the Green Bay Packers. Dr. Earley also enjoys watching the Minnesota Twins play at Target Field.

Rita Conrad

Rita Conrad

Director of Vision Therapy

Rita is an Optometric Vision Therapist and member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She has 13 years of experience working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations in a variety of multidisciplinary settings.

Her research, clinical interests, and specialties include Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) diagnostic testing, neurological visual disorder diagnostics, neuro-visual rehabilitation, vision therapy for concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI), binocular dysfunction, visual perceptual delays, visual-motor integration performance, sports vision training, and online vision training.

She is an advocate for brain injury, concussion prevention, and youth with autism and ADD/ADHD. She provides training at national meetings and local optometric and occupational education programs on VEP technology, TBI visual rehabilitation, and binocular vision disorders' impact on learning.

As part of the team at Strategic Practice Management, Inc., she directs the Vision Therapy Program, teaching patients how to use neuro-muscular patterns of vision more effectively. In addition to providing therapy, she provides medical insurance support for patient care and manages our team of vision therapists.

Rita enjoys spending time with her children, camping and travel.
